Between a soft array of icy silvers and crystalized pinks presented by Giorgio Armani for his spring 2019 Ready-to-Wear Collection in combination with endearing lavender chiffons pinned gently below a silver silk bodice and dressed as an evening gown, the women of Milan can expect to play sweet expressions that uplift just as much as they empower. And fresh off the runway, men too can adorn the colors of confidence with creative masculine suits with loose fitting jackets that take us down a path filled with joyful memories of summer solstice and Italian weekend rendezvous.

But what makes the 2019 fashion season’s resort and summer wear so absolutely charming and yet boastful, is its attention to detail and texture with layered grey metals, plastic jewel accessories, and effervescent pumps that glitter.

Dolce & Gabbana too is embracing these strong colors of femininity with unique floral dresses touched by rose quartz and lace layered embellishments. And with a parade of black-and-white polka dot dresses, baroque gold and silver three-piece trouser suits, and irresistible toffee leopard prints, it was easy to feel June, July, and August flash down the runway. The DNA of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana’s New York Fashion Week soiree was so celebratory, spectators from the first row to the last could inherently feel its ability to make women feel strong within themselves.

So for this Turmeric colored, Pink Peacock and Aspen Gold upcoming cheerful season, indulge in a warm weathered haute couture wardrobe that’s bold, bright, beautiful, and breezy.

A Game Changing Rosé

Music Icon Jon Bon Jovi & Son Jesse Bongiovi, On Their Top Ranking Rosé, Hampton Water

The godfather of rock and roll, Jon Bon Jovi, and son Jesse Bongiovi, are showing New York locals and global Billboard music fans how to sip and be served the Hamptons bon vivant lifestyle, with their newly launched, top ranking rosé wine, Hampton Water.

And if you’re wondering how this father son duo plans to step up New York’s blush colored water game, it’s with the perfect blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes grown in the French Mediterranean mixed in with family memories from their long island seaside playground.

“The Hamptons has always been a special place for me, it’s where my family goes to slow down from our busy lives and just spend time together,” said Bongiovi. “We call it the exhale. Essentially, we wanted to bottle up that feeling of enjoying life and making memories with the people you love most. Hampton Water represents that sense of place, not necessarily geographically, but emotionally.”

It was these summer memories – wrapped in a light pink bottle – that initially fired the Hampton Water lightbulb.

Over a glass of rosé, on a warm summer night, Bongiovi and his dad joked that rosé was the water of the Hamptons.

“He challenged me to come up with a business plan and the rest is history,” said Bongiovi.

Nearly one year later, after launching at Miami Beach’s illustrious Casa Casuarina, with partner and acclaimed French Winemaker, Gérard Bertrand, Hampton Water has been named the top ranked rosé and #83 wine in the world by Wine Spectator’s Top 100 Wines of 2018.

“To be recognized by this esteemed organization at all, especially in our first year, is a tremendous accomplishment,” said Bongiovi.

Now available online at winesale.com or in stores in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, North Carolina, South Carolina, DC, Florida, Illinois and Nevada, Hampton Water is rapidly expanding throughout the US with plans for global expansion in early 2019.

And with the fall release of the Pink Bottle Boys Dinner Party with business partner and fellow Hampton Water co-founder, Ali Thomas, Bongiovi is making it his mission to change the narrative around rosé and rosé season.

“We’ve been working with prominent local chefs to build seasonally inspired Hampton Water pairing menus that utilize Hampton Water as an ingredient,” said Bongiovi. “We just had our second dinner at Le Turtle in New York City.”

Executive Chef of Le Turtle, Victor Amarilla, curated the menu with the help of one ingredient, Hampton Water. Bongiovi particularly favored the Roasted Cauliflower with Hampton Water emulsion, Seared Scallops with Hampton Water curd, and the Mushroom Risotto which had a Hampton Water sauce.

“So good!” said Bongiovi.

And if you’re still eager to hear the results on Bongiovi and his father’s challenge, take it as complete.

Fashion In The Snow

When the weather outside is frightful, there’s nothing more delightful than an extra cute, ultra-luxe outfit to wear in the snow and post on Instagram. And even though subzero degrees may seem like a fashion disaster – with the multitude of layers you’re forced to bundle up in – with these four winter accessories you’ll be cozy, wind and sleet ready, and glitz and glam with a few ounces of chic. Here’s the scoop:

  • The Puffer Coat

Courtesy photo by modesens.com and .revolve.com

Nothing says that it’s time to embrace snow men, snow ball fights, and hot chocolate more than a puffer jacket that’s big enough to mimic a sleeping bag. But when chosen right, these largely insulated and often boxy, coats are socially acceptable to wear outside. So to assist you in playing up your winter cool style, we’re listing the best of the best ski jackets that are hotter than hot on the inside and out. Between the Theory Asymmetric Striped Puffer Jacket, the Splendid Dakota Puffer Coat, and the Nanushka Hide Faux Leather Puffer Jacket, you’ll be screaming let it snow! All year round.

  • The Chic Beanie

A messy blow out is equivalent to a nightmare. But when it’s due to negative degrees, frost and ice crystals, a fur covered, cashmere knitted beanie proves that fresh curls and hair spray are underrated. So for the holiday season, we’re suggesting to splurge on an accessory that’s couture approved and snow flurry ready. We suggest indulging in the shannon cashmere beanie hat by Eugenia Kim, the cashmere beanie hat lined with a fur mohawk by Charlotte Simone, and the Berretto Knit Beanie Hat with a feminine fur pompom by Moncler.

  • Cashmere Gloves

There are some trends that never go out of style. And a pair of cashmere gloves is one of them. A snug winter accessory must have, these cozy mittens will keep your hands from cooling over and stop the arctic wind from scratching a recently polished manicure. Ideal as a gift for Christmas, Hanukkah, or the New Year, cashmere gloves are a timeless fit for your winter wardrobe changeover and are just as luxurious year after year no matter when you bought them. We suggest wrapping your hands in one of these precious pairs: black cashmere gloves with fur cuffs by Sofia Cashmere, cashmere crochet gloves by Loro Piana, or wool and cashmere FF knit gloves by Fendi.

The FIA Foundation: Helmets Help Kids

The season of giving. One that starts with roasted turkeys and afternoon football soirees and ends with stuffed Christmas stockings and jingle bell parades. And as we enter Thanksgiving, Ocean Blue World is highlighting one of the most coveted global foundations, coined The FIA Foundation. With a reputation for innovative global road safety, strategic interventions to improve air quality and tackle climate change, and an advocate in areas of road traffic injury prevention and motor vehicle fuel efficiency, this internationally recognized UK based charity is determined to ensure “safe, clean, fair and green” mobility, to guarantee a sustainable future for all.

And what could be more important than securing a safe ride for our children. So in spotlighting The FIA Foundation, we’re closing in the importance to support the initiative, Helmets for Kids.

In South-East Asia, motorcycles and bicycles are a main vehicle for transportation. And with an increasing number of fatalities and injuries in motorcycle accidents, The FIA Foundation has made it an upmost priority to take action and make roads a safer place to drive on.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it’s imperative that countries fast-track road safety initiatives, with statistics stating that motorcycle or bicycle crashes are a leading cause of death from ages of 15 – 29 years old, with the South-east Asia Region accounting for more than one-quarter of all total road accidental deaths. In 2013, as many as 316,000 people were killed in road crashes and over 50% of total deaths were primarily motorcyclists.

But, with the FIA Foundations branch project, Helmets for Kids, The FIA Foundation is determined to ensure safer roads for children. By supporting AIP Foundation’s approach to advocating for quality helmets and road safety education, The FIA Foundation has helped to save lives in Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.

The award winning documentary, In Retrospect, annotates real life stories of victims and survivors, cataloguing why it is vital we act now.

To join in on the fight for global road safety and ensuring secure rides for children across the world, we suggest supporting and learning about the AIP Foundation this holiday season, a member organization to The FIA Foundation. By lending your help, you can promote safer behavior among high risk road users, making quality helmets accessible to all.

But this isn’t the first time women have indulged themselves in caviar infused skin cream. Caviar has been considered a spectacular phenomenon since the 13th century, when it was first used for its age defying results by the English royal court. And even before British women knew about its sophisticated marvels to hydrate and smoothen skin cells, it was believed in ancient times, that when safely stored for long period of time, it could be consumed as a delicacy or even a skincare secret – providing long lasting skin and restoring elasticity tone.

So with this new La Prairie remastered masterpiece, we’re taking a look deeper into their unique caviar formula and rounding up our go to reasons to why spoil yourself with this one a kind luxury ingredient.

  • The Science of Caviar

300 Years Of Big Easy Architectural Gems

Tricentennial: The 300th Anniversary of New Orleans

300 years of tantalizingly delicious carnival king cakes, second line brass band parades, and colorful Mardi Gras krewes filling the streets with vibrant floats and shimmering gold, green, and purple beads.

Those are the traditions that New Orleans locals are celebrating this year, as they ring in tricentennial celebrations, marking 300 years since this one of a kind city with bounds of rich history, a diverse culture, and unique traditions, was founded. And to commemorate with the down by the bayou natives, we’re rounding up our three most favored historic homes spanning from across the Garden District to Sugarcane Plantations. Here’s the scoop:

  • Magnolia Mansion:

A destination that boasts old southern charm. Located in the lush uptown neighborhood of the garden district – sitting next to two sets of street car train tracks – is an estate once home to notable debutantes and the American Red Cross, coined the Magnolia Mansion. Housing one and half centuries of socialites, bon vivants, champagne soirees, and Fat Tuesday dinners, this once influential hub lends homage to big easy living at its upmost finest. But with the ins and outs of neighbors like Vampire Novelist Anne Rice, legend states it’s haunted. But to know for sure, you’ll have to stay at their bed and breakfast, and find out yourself.

  • Longue Vue House & Gardens

Nothing says New Orleans more than historic estates lined with pockets of tall oak trees. And at this old manor meets museum, beauty, elegance, and the magic of old world Louisiana charisma is exactly what you’ll see. A home and garden born out of New Orleans pillars, Edgar and Edith Stern, Longue Vue House & Gardens is an oasis of blooming Camellia blush petals and white crown Pansies. Consisting of three stories and a basement, this antique villa is a lodging center to original furnishings of English and American antiques, European and Eastern European carpets, Modern and Contemporary art, and haute couture and ethnic costumes. Working with landscape architect Ellen Biddle Shipman and architects William and Geoffrey Platt, the sterns produced one of the last great American houses still standing today that was built during the Country Place Era.

  • Oak Alley Plantation

An antebellum sugarcane plantation for those looking to relive their southern pastimes with a “Gone With The Wind” feeling. Oak Alley Plantation, located at 3645 Louisiana State Highway 18 in Vacherie – nestled on the west bank of the Mississippi River, is a visual masterpiece. Between a canopied 18th century path – with a double row of 28 southern live oak trees – and a Greek revival inspired mansion standing upright with 28 free-standing colonnade Doric columns, Oak Alley Plantation is nothing short of an architectural old age gem.  And with its archaic sugarcane fields, built by the “King of Sugar” and French Creole Valcour Aime himself, this property is one to not only tour for its exquisite features, but it’s Cival War history – serving as a National Landmark and time capsule to the enslaved community that once lived there and worked on the property.

Brunello Cucinelli

The Emperor of Cashmere Clothing

Brunello Cucinelli, Italian born founder, chief executive and designer of billion-dollar global lifestyle brand is raising fashion heights for women’s colored knitwear.

Today, with this ultra-luxe brand, he’s retelling his story of how it all began. From growing up with no running water to becoming the expert of style, Cucinelli is taking the industry by storm with all things soft, elegant, and knitted.

40 years ago, as an eager young man to change the waves of the fashion industry, he visited a dye shop, looking for clues of how to achieve something never done before.

His initial thought? To dye a sweater. Turning round next and v-neck sweaters tangerine orange. Selling 400 units in three months and later 200,000 sweaters a year, it was a hit, operating only out of a small mono-brand store near Solomeo, Italy.

Courtesy photo by frankgallucci

Come 2018, Cucinelli now dons a world-renowned brand with locations spanning across Europe, Asia, and the United States.

But Cucinelli didn’t do it alone. He owes his rapid success to his team.

Growing up hearing stories of how his father and brothers worked in decrepit conditions that were aesthetically difficult, he was determined to create a safe workplace that could generate creativity. Building a backdrop that was filled with light was of upmost priority. To create a peaceful environment where innovation could flow. To have human sustainability.

Courtesy photo by frankgallucci

And it doesn’t end there. When buying fabrics, Cucinelli too researches how the product was made, who made it, and if they earned the correct income making it.

The beauty of clothing is the one who makes it.

Basing the backbone of his line on the value of life and care of the community, Cucinelli is uniquely recognized for the quality of his products – environmentally and humanely sustainable.

And if you’re looking to taste some of Cucinelli’s designs, we suggest splurging on a new fall wardrobe, made especially for you by Cucinelli himself in collaboration with luxury online menswear line, Mr Porter.

Dua Lipa

London born music sensation Dua Lipa dreamed of collaborating with rock star dj’s like Diplo and Calvin Harris. And now – after the release of her first studio album and soon to be second – the stars are aligning and what was once a night time vision is a clear reality.

Courtesy photo by Nicholas Hunt/Getty Images

With an upcoming launch of two new hot singles, coined, One Kiss featuring Calvin Harris and Electricity with Diplo and Mark Ronson, Lipa is joining forces with top ranking dj’s to bring loyal fans a taste of notes that are just as sexy as they are in the studio and on the night club dance floor. With Electricity recently hitting radio stations on September 6th, listeners are going crazy as they tune in to one of the many collaborations that Lipa is signed on for with production company, Silk City.

But let’s rewind and take one look closer.  Throughout recent pop culture history, it seems like more and more A – list musicians have been seeking to collaborate with EDM spin stars. Between Billboard Chart favorites like Sweet Nothing by Calvin Harris and Florence Welch and We Found Love by Rihanna and produced by Calvin Harris, it’s noticeable to listener’s ears that there is an explosion of artist meets artist collaboration. Why you ask?

The fuel of creativity.

When we look back at who did it best, the magic was always in the duos who created masterful art forms together – like Andy Warhol and Jean Michel Basquiat. With the complement of different skillsets, sparks of imaginative innovation fly. And then we have a musical miracle. One that creates mega millions, sets trends, and changes narratives. Like the oldie but goodie, Dancing In The Street by David Bowie and Mick Jagger. Recorded in 24 hours – a mistake turn marvel – Rolling Stones actually ranks this groovy 1980’s classic one of the heart stopping best collaborations of all time.

So as you can see, mixtapes featuring power pairs have been not only an obvious success but a ticket to fame. And this one – we guarantee – will generate more than just sales but lightning bolts of electricity.

Mezlan

Did you ever wonder, where old world shoe cobblers learned the artisan craft of the shoe sole? Here’s the scoop.

Off the coast of Spain in between the high central plateau of La Mancha and the Mediterranean Sea, sits a small town – donning a 14th century castle – coined Almansa. There, this medieval look alike land, where once slept princes and princesses, holds the key to the oldest reservoir in Europe. Recirculating creativity and inspiration since its 1584 inception, this archaic square is home to strong, local families of master shoemakers who have ensured its rightful place for pioneers in the footwear industry.

And here, was where the birthplace of Mezlan – a men’s footwear brand – took place. A luxury, hand crafted shoe emporium, Mezlan takes the ordinary leather sole and reworks it, to consume upmost traditional authority and creative innovation, bringing eager consumers a make that’s ideal for an afternoon rendezvous over the stone Ponte Vecchio and perfect for a black tie affair out. But, what makes this shoe line so uniquely special, is that according to founder and Almansa local, Antonio Sanchez, no less than 100 pairs of hands touch each pair of shoes throughout production. In fact, Sanchez notes, that it may even be more than that!

A new meaning to slow – cooking with no shortcuts.

But in a fast paced and often saturated market, where ready to wear is mass produced and mass customized, it’s rare to see the same levels of skillfully crafted footwear as we would have seen in the old world. So with Sanchez’s strong passion for his hometown roots in Spain, it’s easy to see why this premiere line that boasts European charm is a global hit – found in department stores like Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom as well as brick and mortar shoe boutiques.

This season, we recommend slipping into their newest exclusive Sagrada – a classic handstitched moccasin – or their perfect for fall Espada.

Gabriela Hearst’s “Honest Luxury” Style

From blush tailored pant suits to leather bags with rose gold hardware, Uruguayan native, Gabriela Hearst, is painting New York runways with elegant colors of soft lavenders and silver greys with her new to the fashion world “honest luxury” style line.

And this autumn, cashmere sweaters and reversible trench coats weren’t the only items that Hearst was serving fashion week onlookers – a taste of her homeland plated with empanadas and grilled vegetables opened her 34 – look red hot show.

But it you’re wondering, how this South American local made it big in the big apple so quickly, we have the answer in three words. Made with care.

Growing up on her family’s ranch, Hearst spent her childhood surrounded by grazing farm animals on the backdrop of radiant amber woods, taking care of horses, cattle, and sheep. It was here that she learned the importance of patience, that with attention to detail, you’ll find the right result. And with these values, Hearst decided to embark on a journey to develop a brand that honored her hometown heritage. Where instead of manufacturing on trend pieces that fit the seasonal fashion forecast, Hearst would produce items with purpose behind design.

So after more than a decade studying design in the concrete jungle of Manhattan, Hearst launched her first collection in 2015 – honoring her heritage. But that’s not all she took over. Hearst too took over the operations of her father’s ranch in Uruguay gaining inspiration from the strong ethics she grew up with as a young girl. One key value that was mentioned is that Hearst focuses on finding out where materials come from and who makes them.

Or as Gabriela Hearst puts it, “luxury with a conscience.”

And with 99% of her textiles sustainable and ecofriendly, Hearst’s constructions have hit a homerun at home – at the places she loves most – and all over the world.

The Nina Bag, a light pink rosy colored leather handbag that was most famously seen on the arms of royals like Meghan Markle has now sparked long online waiting lists. Originally, Hearst only manufactured 20 custom made bags – particularly for good friends and family. Little did she know that within no time the bag would form a cult like following.

So with using these noble like materials and leading the parade on organic apparel, Hearst has built an A – list fan base that’s celebrity driven – spawning buyers like Anne Hathaway, Selena Gomez, and Emma Stone – and eco – friendly motivated, landing her the 2017 – 2018 International Woolmark Prize.

So if your keen on indulging on long lasting garments that are just as alluring as they are sophisticated, we suggest you jet set to New York for the weekend and check out Hearst’s first ever standalone store at the Carlyle Hotel located on Madison Avenue.
