At the event, a tour was given to all the guests to show this transformative style experience, with the aim of changing the traditional business of buying tailored suits, coats and shirts, disrupting the traditional retail market and transforming fine clothing into an experience.

Not all suits fit each person, only the perfect one is made for each person, and in that Havoc is unique. A made-to-measure garment speaks for itself. Historically, this attire often denotes man and has been used to affirm power, personality and elegance.

Veruschka

The Timeless Supermodel Veruschka

The Countess Vera Gottliebe Anna von Lehndorff-Steinort has been modelling since the early sixties under the name of Veruschka. More than a model, she is a performance artist and actress, forever reinventing herself.

Following World War II, when her father was executed for attempting to assassinate Hitler, Veruschka moved to Hamburg to study art, and later moved to Florence where she began her modelling career. She was discovered at age 20 by the photographer Ugo Mulas.

In 1961 she re-located to New York and reinvented herself, branding the Veruschka moniker. She caught the eye of Diana Vreeland, then editor-in-chief of American Vogue. Her first cover photos for Vogue were shot by Irving Penn and Bert Stern.

It was not just her luscious and lengthy figure that made her one of the highest-paid models in 1967, it was also her mystique, described on the cover of Life magazine as “Bizarre, Exotic, Six Feet Veruschka—The Girl Everybody Stares At.”

Though Veruschka stepped away from the commercial side of modelling, she occasionally shows up on catwalks. In 1994, she made a surprise appearance at the Chanel spring show in Paris, and at age 78, Veruschka recently popped up for Resort season as the Face of Acne Studios reminding one and all that Richard Avedon’s “most beautiful woman in the world” can still walk the runway looking like a Greek deity.

The Italian designer trained at the prestigious Central Saint Martins Academy in London. It is not the first time Tisci has worked with Burberry’s current Chief Executive, Marco Gobbetti. Gobbetti, former president and Chief Executive of Givenchy, was the first to bring Tisci on board, spotting his talent for what it is. Indeed from 2005 to 2017, Tisci turned the Givenchy label into an international player with his out-of-the-box designs.

States Gobbetti, “His designs have an elegance that is contemporary and his skill in blending streetwear with high fashion is highly relevant to today’s luxury consumer. Riccardo’s creative vision will reinforce the ambitions we have for Burberry and position the brand firmly in luxury.”

“From 2005 to 2017, Italian-born designer Riccardo Tisci was Givenchy’s golden boy. In that decade-plus, he turned the French label from a classic, sophisticated fashion house into one of the pioneering brands of the streetwear-fashion fusion that now defines the industry.”

BESPOKE

BESPOKE… The word whispers to you . . . promising and mysterious.  In a world where only the best will do, bespoke shoemakers deliver on the promise.  In a world where instant gratification is on every street corner, bespoke shoemakers make you wait.  In a world where you are your own man, bespoke shoemakers give you individuality at its most glamorous and luxurious level.  No one else can have what you have.

But what is luxury without comfort?  Your foot has approximately 25% of all the bones in your body.  During your lifetime you will walk approximately 115,000 miles, which is the equivalent of walking around the globe four times.  Bespoke shoes are made with the most exclusive materials, perfectly crafted, and the epitome of understated excellence.  But that is only half the story.

The other half, the more important half, is that they are created only for you, giving you a level of comfort which, until now, you have never experienced.  Once your foot slides into a bespoke shoe you’ll never go back.  Striking without being flashy, bespoke shoes reflect your quest for elegance and your self-respect.

Bespoke shoemakers such as John Lobb, Berluti and Stefano Bemer all believe that at the core of their service is the relationship between the client and the artisans.  This belief in personalized service creates an environment where anything is possible, and the world is your oyster.

CIHUAH: The Fusion of Architecture & Fashion

A Mexican clothing brand for women who dare.

The concept of “less is more” has been proven by Vanessa Guckel, the French architect, founder, and creative director of Cihuah, who visualized architecture as an exhibition window with the idea of the contemporary woman in mind and which has perfectly fit into her designs.

Guckel has appropriated the word elegance by choosing simplicity, a very valuable fashion concept. She worked for several architectural firms before turning to fashion design. Today, with the understanding that, much like a building, “clothes are the spaces in which the human body lives”, Vanessa has created a unique and striking image that reflects an interplay between architectural concepts and fashion. The name Cihuah comes from the Nahuatl word for “woman” and recognizes and acknowledges the indigenous women who create traditional craft designs, from their ancient knowledge and culture.

The brand pays tribute to the creative woman, to the tradition, to the ancestral knowledge, and to the basic geometric patterns of indigenous Mexican clothing, while creating a contemporary look that always tends to a black and white timeless vision. Its architectural concept takes advantage of the geometric shapes with a means to vanish curves or body flaws.

Cihuah has been awarded three times by Vogue ‘Who’s on Next Mexico’ runner prize, Quorum Design Award, Best Woman Entrepreneurship and brand success, and as Best Fashion Runway, among others. All Cihuah’s collections were launched in the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Mexico.

If you are a modern, elegant, and refined women, who has a liking to dress with taste and style, and like risking to try on new proposals, Cihuah is the brand for you.
