The AeroMobil Flying Car – Redefining Transportation Boundaries

The future of travel is here. Flying transportation is being made a reality thanks to the advanced Slovakian engineering company, AeroMobil. Officially launched at the world’s most exclusive supercar show, Top Marques Monaco, AeroMobil has accomplished a tremendous feat in both automotive and aviation industries, creating the first consumer grade aeroplane-car hybrid.

The AeroMobil Flying Car has been inspired by a desire to give customers true freedom of movement in a vehicle that is both extraordinary and exciting, while also being efficient. It is designed to offer customers the choice of all the functionality and flexibility a car and an aeroplane can provide. Its dual mode means it can cut travel times compared to traditional short haul airline flights ranging up to 1,000km as its powerful engine enables greater range and offers more efficient use of energy. The innovative vehicle is expected to go into full production in the upcoming years with the first deliveries being made to buyers by 2020.

The AeroeMobil Flying car is truly ground-breaking triumph of technical expertise, engineering and design.

Oaxaca Aerospace Achieves Two Major Milestones at FAMEX 2017

Oaxaca Aerospace has unveiled its second prototype aircraft, completely designed and developed in Mexico, the Pegasus P-400T. Released at the Mexico 2017 Aerospace Fair (FAMEX 17), The P-400T has been designed to perform air support missions, reconnaissance, coordination of attacks, surveillance and advanced training exercises.

The Pegasus P-400T uses a 400-horsepower twin-turbo reciprocating engine and a variable-pitch driven propeller, which makes it more efficient compared to other aircraft used for the same missions, offering considerable savings in operating costs. Thanks to its innovative design and aerodynamic fuselage, the aircraft can reach a maximum speed of 550 km/h, a service ceiling of 24 thousand feet, a range of 2000 km and autonomy of 5 hours. It also has a reinforced retractable landing gear ideal for pilot training.

In addition to the aircraft’s official release at FAMEX 2017, Oaxaca Aerospace and The Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) signed a collaboration agreement aiming to boost scientific research, technology development and aeronautic innovation in the State of Oaxaca. This agreement additionally involves aircraft maintenance services, expansion and manufacturing of equipment for land support and orientation for patent registration.

The collaboration is historical achievement that will generate a great boost to the national aeronautical industry. Oaxaca Aerospace plans to complete the development of the P-400T in the first quarter of 2018 to begin with the test protocol.

SpaceX to Send Two Private Citizens Around the Moon and Back

It’s been decades since humans last orbited the moon, but Elon Musk’s aerospace manufacturer and space travel company SpaceX plans to change that. The company recently announced that two private citizens approached SpaceX about a trip to the moon for late 2018. The two potential space travelers have paid a “significant” deposit and SpaceX expects health and fitness tests along with initial training to take place this year.

Space X

There’s no word on how much the travelers will pay, nor who the two individuals are, but SpaceX also says that other flight teams are interested in similar trips – if this first voyage is successful, we could see more flights around the moon in the future.

Space X

The trip will use SpaceX’s Dragon capsules, which have designed specifically for carrying humans. An initial Dragon capsule will be sent unmanned to the International Space Station, with a manned mission following in 2018. Contracted with NASA, these will be part of four annual missions to the International Space Station. After testing completes, the trip will take off from Kennedy Space Center, the same pad used to launch the Apollo missions more than 45 years ago.

And for a touch of sublime elegance, their surfaces have been embellished with either bronze or blue PVD treatments. The stylistic evolution is paired with an important technical innovation granting 10-day power reserve driven by a single barrel.

A limited edition of only 86 movements will be produced in total (all models combined). The widespread popularity of the Pininfarina collection—and of the Ottantasei Tourbillon in particular—suggest that these newest additions to this exclusive series will barely suffice to meet the exceptionally high demand for this truly extraordinary timepiece.

The Jaguar E-TYPE

the-jaguar-e-type-1
Enzo Ferrari described the Jaguar E-type as “the most beautiful car ever made” when he first saw it in the spring of 1961.

With its V6 engine displacing 3.8 liter and triple SU carburetors to feed it, it put 265 horsepower at your feet, taking the 2900-pound E-Type from 0 to 60 MPH in 7 seconds.

The two-door coupe was built to seat two people comfortably in both the normal and roadster versions. Years later Jaguar would create a 2+2, undoubtedly for married couples with children as no adult can fit in the back seats. Its geometric proportions made it look unbelievably long, though it is barely a 15-footer.

THE MOST ICONIC OF ALL SPORTS CARS, THE JAGUAR E-TYPE REMAINS A MILESTONE IN THE HISTORY OF PERFORMANCE MOTORING.

The front engine placement added to the illusion of power and strength emanating from the Jaguar name, as did the costly outlay for this thirsty auto getting 17.6 mile per gallon. Nobody has ever claimed beauty and frugality go hand in hand, but then again, in 1961, the E-Type cost only a little over 2,000 sterling pounds including taxes. Never before had so much beauty been so easy to acquire.
