The new millennium has seen his global extension to North America and Asia and the septuagenarian Arnault and conglomerate LVMH show no signs of
slowing down. Their latest major acquisition of
Tiffany & Co. is a fine example of this. Arnault’s
children head some of the brand's divisions.
Delphine is executive vice president of Louis
Vuitton, and a member of LVMH's executive A committee, and Antoine, Alexandre and Frédéric,
as well as niece Stéphanie Watine Arnault, all play leadership roles.
Arnault is of French descent and famous for his patriotism. His European base remains strong. He and LVMH pledged $220 million to help repair the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris following its devastating fire in 2019. He is also the visionary behind the Fondation Louis Vuitton, the iconic contemporary art museum designed by architect Frank Gehry.
rnault personally owns work by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Damien Hirst, Maurizio Cattelan, Andy Warhol and Pablo Picasso. His love for art and artists is evident in the LVMH brand.
He hired Stella McCartney as his sustainability advisor and is famous for collaborations with artists such as Jeff Koons and Takashi Murakami. Bernard Arnault is truly one-of-a-kind.
