Best known for her role on Broadway in The Color Purple, Erivo went on to star in the biopic Harriet in 2019, and as the iconic Aretha Franklin in 2021’s Genius: Aretha.
Her acting chops and her incredible, heavenly voice clearly have her poised for icon status.
Next up for Erivo is a starring role alongside Ariana Grande in the film version of Wicked, playing the Blue Fairy in Robert Zemeckis’ live-action version of Pinocchio, as well as a host of other projects in the works that will have her name on everyone’s lips, proving that Erivo is, indeed, glowing up.
