heco comes from a racecar
family. He started out as a go-
kart champion from age six on
then continued throughout his
youth racing with Team Mexico. From there he
moved to the British Formula Three and finally
earned his seat on the Formula One ticket
with Sauber. In 2012 he won two-second place
finishes and earned 66 points in the driver’s
championship, a tenth place position.

By 2013, Pérez replaced Lewis Hamilton on
the McLaren Formula One team, and was
a consistent 11 points finisher, with four
consecutive 11 points finishes in the final four
races of the season. His steady performance
earned him a place on the Sahara Force India
Formula One team line-up for 2014.

This earnest and ambitious driver, known as
“The Mexican Wunderkind”, at twenty-five
years young has already accomplished plenty.
He won third place in the Formula One 2014
Bahrain Grand Prix race which was the Sahara
Force India team’s first big win since 2009.
Pérez remains with the Sahara Force India team
where his performance continues to excel.
