T he music producer, performer,
songwriter and designer
launched his footwear designs
in collaboration with Reebok in
2004. Apparel followed a year later with Louis
Vuitton for jewelry and eyewear, Moynat for
leather goods, Timberland for boots, Comme
des Garçons for fragrance, Monclear for
sunglasses and Adidas for footwear. Pharrell
also designed collections with G-Star Raw,
which included denim garments made using
recycled plastic removed from the oceans.
Williams' other forays into design include
furniture. After completing the chair
Perspective and the sculpture The Simple
Things, a collaboration with the artist Takashi
Murakami, Pharrell Williams tackled the
theme of war and created The Tank.
He received the Fashion Icon Award from the
Council of Fashion Designers of America in
2015, and was awarded Footwear News’ first
Collaboration of the Year for his partnership
with Timberland on the Bionic Yarn Bee Line
x Timberland Honeycomb Boot. Next up
on Williams’ fashion front: a collection with
Happy Sock exclusively for Neiman Marcus.
