right up there with Monza, Italy’s top

of Tavo Hellmund and Alejandro
Soberon. Tavo Hellmund is a racing
aficionado with a talent for racetracks.
He is the creator and mastermind
of the United States Grand Prix in
Texas. It is the second time that he has
brought a race to the F1. No one in F1’s
history, except for Ecclestone, has been
responsible for getting more than one
Grand Prix on the F1 roster.
Soberon is the CEO of Grupo CIE the
world’s third largest live entertainment
company, in Mexico, Colombia and
Central America.
The reintegration of Mexico into the
F1 includes the backing of three team
members, one of whom is Carlos
Slim Domit, son of the world’s second
richest man, Carlos Slim Helú. Slim
Domit is a member of the Senate
of the Fédération Internationale de
l’Automobile (FIA). The others are
George Gonzalez, the chief executive
of CIE subsidiary Ocesa, and Federico
Alaman, president of motorsports for
Ocesa.
