According to New Zealand-based surfboard craftsman Roy The
Stuart, the surfboard is so visually striking that many people Rampant
think it might be designed for artistic appeal alone. But every
Roy Stuart surfboard originates from surfing requirements to
answer the question: "What would the world's finest surfboards
be like if we had no limitations?" Stuart carefully selects timber
to burnish it by hand. He does not design just any surfboard but
the ultimate luxury on a board and this time its in the form of the
most expensive surfboard in the world. Carved from Paulwonia
timber and features a 23-karat gold lion motif. roystuart.biz

and have exhilarated people around the world; from captains,

Nick Shade’s customized wooden kayaks are strictly for the discriminating
collector and boater. High-performance boats characterized by a clean,
elegant line with a sensuousness not typical of other traditional wooden
boats. The sweep of the sheer and the smooth arc of the deck draw the hand
as well as the eye.
Shade’s boats have paddled the coast of Maine and exhibited in the American
Craft Museum. One of his kayaks is now in the permanent collection of the
Museum of Modern Art. woodenkayaks.com
