va Hughes, the former editor of Vogue Mexico and Latin America, became CEO and General Manager of
Condé Nast Mexico and Latin America in February of 2012.
A native of Spain, Eva Hughes came to Mexico as a child. In her teenage years, the family moved to Miami
where she attended school. She graduated from Georgetown University, and started her career in the 1990s, in TV
production. Hughes served as editorial director of the Miami-based Spanish magazine, Selecta, before becoming
editor of Vogue in 2002, which, under her 10-year leadership, doubled its circulation.
“Eva is a strong leader with talent, drive, and a keen understanding of editorial quality,” says Condé Nast
International Chairman, Jonathan Newhouse. “She is known and highly respected in the marketplace.”
In addition to Vogue, Condé Nast Mexico and Latin America publishes Glamour, AD and Gentlemen’s Quarterly,
with separate editions for the Mexican and Latin American markets.
