The Meals on Wheels Foundation of Northern Illinois

This organization is very active within their community and
hosts many fundraisers annually. The proceeds support the
Meals on Wheels Foundation of Northern whose hundreds
of selfless volunteers deliver and serve nearly 1,700 meals to
older adults daily in their homes and at their +60 Cafes. It’s
much more than a meal, Meals on Wheels helps combat senior
isolation, hunger, and depression through companionship and

Wings of Hope for Melanoma

The Fourth Annual Wings of Hope for Melanoma Gala
was held by Morgan MFG in Chicago last September. 400
attendees enjoyed a variety of amuse-bouche from elite Chicago
restaurants, cocktails and a silent auction with one-of-a-kind
items. The funds raised at the Wings of Hope for Melanoma
galas support melanoma research, education and advocacy.

Patronato Ruta de la Amistad

The Friendship Route nonprofit organization was created 50
years ago. This trailblazer’s objective is to preserve Mexican
culture through restoration and education. This includes the
conservation of the collection of art from the Mexico 1968
Children's World Painting Festival and the art, films and
publicity from the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico. The Olympic
route was the first public art and sculpture route of its kind. The
show last April at the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington,
DC, the Ruta de la Amistad brought the monumental works of
art, like the one created by American Todd Williams at Station
#9, back into the limelight. mexico68.org
