La Vie En Rose

In 2012, the magazine La Guía Gourmet in Los Cabos, under the direction of its owner Alexis Head, partner of Ocean Blue World, and the Public Relations Agency Miroslava Bautista, carried out the event called “La Vie en Rose,” an event that brought together more than 200 participants and 15 prestigious brands within the exclusive Hotel Esperanza, an Auberge Resort in Los Cabos to benefit and support breast cancer awareness and prevention.

Important brands sponsored this event whose purpose is to support women who have been or continue to be victims of breast cancer in the State of Baja California Sur. Due to their financial situation, they cannot face the expenses involved with having had a mastectomy. They are offered support to be transported to the capital city for their chemotherapy treatments, physical and psychological therapies, purchase of sleeves special compression, wigs, underwear and specific prostheses, among other expenses.

The objective of this event was to raise awareness of breast cancer. In addition, the events supports a prevention campaign with hospitals in the area, coordinating information clinics and free mammograms. This year, the top businesswomen carried out the event again, now incorporating National and International brands. The event will also provide greater medical services and specialized care, and even incorporating reconstructive surgeries to cancer survivors. The collaboration of exceptional brands and entrepreneurs unites the efforts of doctors, businessmen and authorities in a great cause.
At this event, the first Foundation against Breast Cancer in the State of BCS was officially presented. Invitees included Federal, State and Municipal authorities to witness the presentation of the Breast Cancer Society Foundation by its President Dr. José Ramón Saucillo.
At the beautiful Hotel Esperanza in Cabo San Lucas, the October 19th La Vie En Rose replicated an event held in San Miguel Allende Guanajuato, one of the cultural icons of Mexico and sister city of Los Cabos.

Sporting various shades of pink, attendees enjoyed an evening of the highest gastronomy for an event made by women and for women. On this occasion, nationally and internationally renowned chefs were invited to present an exclusive 6-course menu,  with pairings by sommelier Erika Zúñiga de Casa Madero. From the now-famous kitchen of Chef Guillermo Gómez, chef executive of the Hotel Esperanza Resort, a select dish was presented for this great philanthropy dinner.
This year’s La Vie En Rose welcomed singers Sabina and Grammy-nominated Astrid Asher, along with top media hosts, pyrotechnics, surprises and gifts, which undoubtedly brought the night to life while celebrating in pink and fighting for a cause.
