“Bloom” is a visual exploration of human growth, resilience, and transformation, using florals as both a metaphor and a medium. I wanted to highlight the process of change—how we evolve, shed old layers, and make space for something new. The organic elements intertwined with the human form represent the connection between self and nature, showing that growth happens both internally and externally. The contrast between masculine and feminine elements underscores that transformation is universal, yet each journey is personal. Structured leaves shaped like a headpiece suggest an untamed evolution of thought, while anthuriums blooming from the body reflect the vulnerability that comes with change. Through composition, color, and texture, I aimed to capture the tension between resistance and acceptance, illustrating that no matter our identity, we all go through cycles of growth—learning when to hold on, when to let go, and ultimately, when to bloom.
