Season three of The White Lotus has officially checked out—and yes, the body bags have been zipped, the electronic devices returned, and the emotional baggage (along with the designer luggage) sent off to baggage claim. But while the characters unraveled, the fashion never once fell apart.
This season, creator Mike White gave us more than spiritual crises and passive-aggressive brunches. Thanks to costume designer Alex Bovaird, he also served up a visual buffet of resort wear that deserves its own Emmy. Think custom Jacquemus, vintage Pucci, and Chanel that looks like it barely made it off the runway before getting whisked to a luxury villa with private plunge pools.
The guests? Equally unmissable.
There’s Jaclyn (Michelle Monaghan), who packed more silk sets than sense; the perma-exhausted Laurie Duffy (Carrie Coon); and Leslie Bibb’s Kate Bohr, a Texas socialite who never met a sarong she didn’t monogram. Then came the Ratliffs—an emotional rollercoaster in linen. We had Parker Posey as Victoria, the Southern matriarch with a Xanax-meets-gin vibe; Jason Isaacs as her hedge fund husband; Patrick Schwarzenegger in peak finance-bro form; their Buddhist daughter (Sarah Catherine Hook); and Sam Nivola as Lochlan, possibly the first teen on television to make slouching a sport.
Add in a British boho dream (Aimee Lou Wood), a Hawaiian shirt enthusiast with a thousand-yard stare (Walton Goggins), and Charlotte Le Bon’s effortlessly chic Chloe, and you’ve got yourself a cast that could cause a global caftan shortage.
Oh, and shout-out to the return of spa goddess Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) and the presence of Mook (Lalisa Manobal), who wore everything with the quiet confidence of someone who knows she’ll always be the coolest one in the room.
Bottom line? The plot may be twisty, the characters morally murky, but the wardrobe? Pure sunshine and high thread counts. If you’re dreaming of your own tropical escape, the White Lotus fashion fantasy might be just the inspiration your suitcase needs.
