THE AMALFI COAST
The Amalfi Coast offers one of the world´s most coveted sights on the planet. Favorite destination for the
dolce vita, it shelters some of the world´s most exclusive hotels and restaurants, as well as an atmosphere with
Mediterranean and Middle Eastern influences.
“You can see nothing more beautiful on this earth,” were the first words uttered by the Nobel laureate, André Gide,
when he visited this region of La Campagna, in the south of Italy, known as The Amalfi Coast. The roads wind
over vertical cliffs that dive into the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea. Pastel colored villages miraculously hold
on to the rocks; Amalfi, Ravello, Sorrento and even Naples. They are dressed with flowers and churches, citrus
plantations and markets full of life, as well as old oak trees, mansions and palaces turned into hotels that shelter
those who drink pink wine next to the pool.
