MEXICO CITY
Mexico City has been a meeting place for diverse cultures since it was founded in
1325. It is the pulsing heart of México, and its historic and cultural capital. One
of the most dynamic cities on the planet, it is a cluster of neighborhoods, both
ancient and modern, woven together in an appealing and fascinating way that
captivates those who visit as well as those who live there.
At 571 square miles, D.F. as residents of Mexico City, or chilangos, call it, is vast,
but visitors and residents alike gravitate to a few key neighborhoods.
