Indiana Jones
Born in 1946, Spielberg’s keen sense of the cinematic has matured, like all great
art, only gaining in power over time. He has been nominated seven times for best
director and ten times for best picture, most recently for The Post starring Meryl
Streep and Tom Hanks. He directed Real Player One released in 2018, and became
the first director to earn ten billion U.S. at the global box office. Spielberg has
directed more than 30 significant films and taken home two Oscars for producing
and directing Schindler’s List and for directing Saving Private Ryan.

He also received scores of additional directing nominations for his vanguard and
now classic films, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Raiders of the Lost Ark,
and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, among numerous others.

His thorough storytelling magic, regardless of the topic, has touched generations
worldwide, and brings our dreams to life on the screen. He is not slowing down,
though the shrewd investor could, with a reported U.S. net worth of $3.7 billion;
the man is happiest when directing.
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial
The self-taught billionaire, who was denied access to film school, has never
given up his passion for making movies. The audience can expect the sixth in the Jaws
series of Spielberg’s 1993 adaptation of Michael Crichton’s novel, Jurassic World
3, scheduled for release in 2021. Raiders of the Lost Ark’s fifth sequel Indiana
Jones 5, is scheduled to be released in 2021. Ansel Elgort has been cast as Tony in
Spielberg’s adaptation of West Side Story, set for filming in the summer of 2019,
and the film master is also working with Hillary Clinton on a film adaptation of
Elaine Weiss’s critically acclaimed book The Woman’s Hour: The Great Fight to
Win the Vote, to mention a few of his current projects.
