UP AND COMING
Aly
Wagner
“Aly Wagner is the first-ever American
woman announcing the world cup for the U.S.
broadcast, and she’s killing it.”
-Vogue
Lives,
Breathes,
Is Soccer
Alyson Kay "Aly" Wagner is soccer. Her entire life has been dedicated to the
sport. In addition to her phenomenal record with the US National Team, the
mid-fielder played for the 2004 Olympic team and helped the U.S. gain a gold
medal in Athens. She also played for Team USA in the 2007 FIFA Women’s
World Cup and despite a double hernia operation earlier in that year, was a
part of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
Now the retired athlete, and mother of four children under the age of five, has
taken her lifetime of experience, charm and confident onstage presence to the
world as sports analyst and live commentator.
Lady Bird
Making history, at the Russian World Cup, 2018, she was the first American
female sports analyst to cover a world cup. The retired midfielder’s continued
dedication to the sport certainly paid off as sports fans around the world
hung onto the commentator’s every word. The up and coming soccer player
extraordinaire, and now spunky sports analyst, is sure to keep us all “in the
game” in the future.
“When you get to call a game, you can see it all unfold and the beauty of the
match.” – Aly Wagner
