he rising young Swiss conductor, Lorenzo
Viotti, is the winner of some of the most
prestigious awards in opera and symphony.
T He has conducted renowned orchestras and
operas including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra
Amsterdam, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the
Vienna Symphonic Orchestra, and debuting with the
Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra in 2018. Opera
house invitations include the Vienna State Opera, the
Bavarian State Opera and the Paris Opera.

Viotti studied piano, voice and percussion, and then
conducting, graduating from the Hochschule für Musik
Franz Liszt in Weimar with Nicolás Pasquet. Appointed
Chief Conductor to the Netherlands Philharmonic
Orchestra and the Dutch National Opera for the 2021-
2022 season, he brings a unique manner of conducting,
both singing and using his body “…to manage and
manipulate sounds and instruments.”

Viotti maintains a strict daily workout routine to
maintain his conductor’s technique. Cultured, well-
educated and beautiful, he not only makes orchestras
sing, but clothing as well. He has been picked up as a
model for Jacques sportswear, highlighting Viotti’s
passion for tennis and martial arts, and appeared in
L’Uomo Vogue, among others.
