Jeremy Allen White’s career is on fire. The New York native grew up a theater nerd and trained dancer, never envisioning that he would win an Emmy Critic’s Choice Award, a Screen Actor’s Guild Award and two Golden Globes, costar in a film alongside Zac Efron where he plays a pumped up wrestler, and create a sensation by posing in Calvin Klein underwear.
But those are the twists his career has taken in recent years, making the 36-year-old father of two almost a household name.
White entered the acting world at the age of 15 with a role in the film Beautiful Ohio, yet his career trajectory had been a slow build until recently when White was cast in the starring role of the runaway Hulu hit series, The Bear, where he plays tormented chef Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto. White attended cooking school to prepare for the role and perfectly channels the industry’s tension, frenetic energy, and inherent drama.

And he managed to be sexy while doing it, leading to the 2024 Calvin Klein ambassadorship, an online campaign that proved hugely successful. The provocative ads generated more than $12 million in media exposure in its first two days, further elevating White’s status as one of Hollywood’s most coveted actors.
Although The Bear has been his biggest role to date, White also starred on the Showtime series Shameless, and films such as The Rental, Birthday Cake, and 2023’s The Iron Claw, where he put on 40 pounds of muscle and earned rave reviews for his performance.
White will return to the third season of The Bear, scheduled to come out this summer, as well as several film projects in the works, which should satiate the hunger for more White.
