Karl Lagerfeld Designs The Estates at Aqualina
One of the world’s most acclaimed fashion designers, Karl Lagerfeld has been announced as the lead designer and creative director behind Miami’s hottest new residential complex: The Estates at Aqualina. The luxury condominium project in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida will feature lobbies designed by the king of haute couture himself.
The lobbies of The Estates at Acqualina will set the stage for the most prestigious and fashionable address in America, while perfectly reflecting the city of Miami with classical architecture and contemporary art and pale pink hues.
The South Tower lobby floors feature mosaic tiles and unique rugs complimented by a cerulean blue, white, silver and grey color palette. Images of Roman fountains and arches that Lagerfeld took himself and will be etched into larger-than-life wall panels, ceiling screens and skylights.
Developed by Jules and Eddie Trump of The Trump Group the $1.5 billion project is scheduled to be completed in 2020 and will house 265 luxury residences spanning two boutique skyscrapers, each ranging from three to seven bedroom condos.
Units have already priced from $3.9 million to $9 million, and penthouses up to $40 million. The new property will include five dining options, a dog park, and 24-hour valet service. The Estates will also feature bowling lanes, an ice-skating rink, and a Wall Street Traders’ Club room complete with ticker tape and a board room. Construction of the first tower is set to break ground later this year.
