New York entrepreneur, interior designer, and style icon, Iris Apfel, is collaborating with Istanbul-based design brand, Nude Glassware, for a year – long campaign, launching products inspired exclusively by Iris’s romantic glamour and colorful innate flair.
Shoppers looking to indulge in one of kind decorative gifts, can look forward to seeing customized collectables including a paper weight bedazzled with Iris’s face on it and a glass doll modeled after Iris created by admired American industrial designer, Harry Allen. A natural progression, after studying art history at New York University and attending art school at the University of Wisconsin, Iris set in motion ventures with Women’s Wear Daily, working alongside interior designer Elinor Johnson and illustrator Robert Goodman, which would soon assist in breaking her career as a budding starlet. With a resume that includes design restoration projects at the White House for nine US presidents such as Truman, Eisenhower, Nixon, Kennedy, Johnson, Carter, Reagan, and Clinton and a Mac cosmetics line featuring four limited edition lipsticks, Iris shows no signs of slowing down and is continuing to transform the world of design and paint it bright with vivid colors.
