The Shoppes at Palmilla are always at the top of what´s new and different, with “by invitation only” events for those who are looking for a VIP preview of new art collections. Events are often paired with magnificent charitable causes, such as the piano concert benefiting the Sierra Tarahumara natives.
Even when events have a charitable purpose, all of them have the same goal: to become a place to appreciate art and culture, always looking to add something new to the Cabo cultural scene. The “Beyond Words” unique art exhibition with Jonathan Brilliant, sculptor, is a great example. We were fortunate to be a stop on his world-tour in 2010. Jonathan´s objective is to provide a space where children can interact with the creative process in the construction of magnificent sculptures. This activity boosts the children`s imagination. This special event that has never been seen in our community and was displayed in places such as, Germany, England and selected places in the United States, like Washington, Florida and New York.
These kind of events focus on the love for art and culture, having a direct impact on our youth as they were in direct contact with the artist.

Since opening in 1999, Pez Gordo Gallery at The Shoppes at Palmilla, has become Los Cabos´ leading forum for contemporary art. The gallery´s roster currently comprises more than forty artists based in Baja California, mainland México, South America and The United States. The gallery is in the constant hunt for the unique artists, like Kevin Box, a talented artist who has created a method of casting paper in bronze. He is known by his monumental pieces, very large works, the size of a building, judge for yourself:
