Careyes Celebrated the 19th Edition of La Copa Agua Alta de Polo
Nineteen years have passed since the first time Careyes celebrated the first Copa Agua Alta, originally a game between friends to celebrate the birthday number 55 of its creator, Alberto Ardissone. With the aim of offering a better quality of the equestrian sport in Mexico, the Copa Agua Alta has been held in this ultra-luxury destination on the Costa Alegre de Jalisco, making it the oldest and most traditional polo cup in the country.
Careyes has the infrastructure and the first level staff to carry out this event with impeccable quality, in addition to an ideology of natural preservation and animal care. For this reason, his two professional courts were the perfect set to play the 18 games of the cup in six days of game. More than 100 spectacular polo horses were transported from different parts of the country so that the six teams: Fortaleza, Switzerland, careyes.net, La Patrona, Agua Alta and Steta Mexico.
On Friday the 23rd, the Agua Alta Cup officially began with a cocktail and inaugural dinner at Casa Agua Alta, owned by the hosts Kari and Alberto Ardissone, where the teams were presented, They delivered the official shirts and the schedule of games.
On March 24, 25 and 27, the first, second and third day of matches took place, the latter culminating with a cocktail in Sol de Oriente, one of the spectacular Ocean Castles by Careyes.
On March 28, the fourth day of games was celebrated, which closed with a fun barbecue at the Polo Barns, where you can find the game horses, in addition to an auction of big horses and a party to celebrate those born under the sign Aries.
During Thursday 29, a fun paella was held at Playa Rosa, while on Friday 30, played the fifth day of matches and the semifinals, which featured a creative hat contest among the women attending. Finally, La Patrona hosted a cocktail in the Plaza de los Knights of the Sun.
For the March 31, the grand finale day of this great event, an exciting match was played between the Fortaleza team and the careyes.net team, which culminated in a final score of 5-8 goals, positioning Fortaleza as the winner of the 19th edition of the Copa Agua Alta.
The award ceremony was held in the polo fields by Giorgio Brignone and Alberto Ardissone, who decorated all the teams and personnel involved in this great event, caballerangos, réferis, among others. The teams of careyes.net and Switzerland obtained the second and third place respectively, while Sebastian Dawnay, part of the Switzerland team, he was considered the most valuable player of the tournament. The players were decorated with a trophy created by the Mexican jeweler Daniel Espinosa and gifts from the sponsors.
Finally, Blue Crocodile was the ideal place for the closing party of these exciting days, same that had masks as dress code and lived with great fun and conviviality between friends.

Additionally, the event was sponsored by Tequila Reserva de la Familia, the result of more than 200 years of inheritance and tequila tradition, and Stella Artois, Belgian beer of excellence, for being the official drinks of the Agua Alto Cup 2018.
Visits to the emblematic places of Careyes, such as La Copa del Sol and the incomparable Samadhi Nest in Teopa Beach, yoga in spectacular properties like Casa Corazón, between other things, were some of the activities that the attendees could enjoy this fun equestrian event.
