De Gournay Celebrates Lavish Houghton Hall-Inspired Design with Black Tie Dinner

At an exquisite black tie dinner inside the incredible Houghton Hall house in England, De Gournay celebrated the launch of the ‘Houghton’ design with some of the top international luxury interior designers.

The new hand-painted wallpaper design is inspired by the Chinoiserie wallpaper that has decorated the Cabinet Room of the Houghton Hall house since the 18th century.

The exquisite black tie dinner was held by candlelight to celebrate the exciting launch, including Martin Brudnizki and Jonathan Brook, and Amanda Brooks and Amy Tastley wearing Valentino Couture.

De Gournay‘s project with Houghton Hall is a truly fascinating tale of beauty, history and design with an appeal for interior enthusiasts, historians, art lovers and the world beyond for all people.

Houghton is an impressive design that refers to an oriental garden depicted in striking cobalt blue paper, an unrivaled example of historic Chinoiserie that has endured in perfect conditions since its installation in 1769.
