Noteworthy
A ll I know is that whenever his name is mentioned
it is as though we all feel like we are in La La Land.
Some people fell in love with Ryan Gosling in The
Notebook, a romance story for the ages, but my preference is always
a good “dramedy” such as when Gosling is able to make people
root for the bad-guy-who-can-change - à la Crazy, Stupid, Love.
Some of my other favorites include Drive, The Ides of March and
Fracture, all of which have Gosling teamed with ¨noteworthy¨
co-stars including Anthony Hopkins and another of Ocean Blue’s
cover-featured actors, George Clooney.
Nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor in 2006, Gosling’s choice of
movies and characters from that point on have allowed his talents
to shine. With such a diverse portfolio of movies under his belt,
from action to drama to comedy, Ryan Gosling has the gift of being
able to take on any role and magically bring his character to life.
One of my favorite moments, however, was not in a movie but when
he hosted Saturday Night Live. He was absolutely, surprisingly,
hilarious. It was evident that comedic timing and - yes - dancing
are two of the skills among the range of Gosling’s talents.
On the personal side, the world is kept at a safe distance from
him and his partner in life, Eva Mendes and their two daughters.
Rarely photographed together, they are somehow succeeding in
maintaining a great degree of privacy.
If Ryan’s resume is evidence of things to come, this Canadian-born
star has quite a bit in store for all of us to enjoy in the future.
