FROM THE PUBLISHER
A Star
is born
B ehind those baby blues of Bradley Charles Cooper lies an
incredibly gifted actor with an ability to immerse himself
into a variety of acting roles.
Cooper built his career from the live stage up and it shows. He spent the
formative part of his career in New York City, first on stage and then cast in
the dramatic television series The Beat. However, Los Angeles was calling
him and soon after this stint on television he made the move to the City
of Angels.
I first took notice of him when he was cast in the television show, Alias, an
understated but big impact role, to say the least. Little did I know the level
of talent Bradley Cooper possessed and the success he would then go on to
achieve. There you have it, a star was born.
His ability to reinvent himself, each and every time in all of the different
characters, from his bit role on Sex and the City, which I now look back
on with fondness because it was actually his voice that really caught my
attention, to playing opposite Jennifer Lawrence in Silver Linings Playbook,
a movie that pulled on every level of emotion possible.
It then seemed as though I saw his name and credits everywhere including
notables such as Wedding Crashers, Valentine’s Day, Aloha and American
Hustle. But some of my personal favorites include American Sniper,
Guardians of the Galaxy, and The A-Team with the unforgettable quote:
“Alpha! Michael! Foxtrot …” - I leave it to you to find out the ending of
that sentence for yourselves. As well, of course, he was center stage in the
irreverently hilarious trilogy of The Hangover.
