Embodying a range of comedy, action and drama, Cooper somehow
manages to transform and yet maintain his own identity in the
characters he depicts. We are not looking at Bradley Cooper the
person, we are watching and are mesmerized by the depth of talent he
portrays as his persona onscreen.
Just when we thought we had seen and heard it all, without much, if any
hype, it happened: A Star is Born. Directed by Cooper and co-starring
Lady Gaga, the two enormously talented actors convincingly seem to
take on and feed off of each other’s careers in the movie. Lady Gaga
is flawless in her role, showing us that her talents reach far beyond
music. Cooper surprises us with not only the depth of his acting but
his inherent gift for singing that - mark my words - will be recognized
come award season.
